Ren(ai)ssance

According to Wikipedia, the renaissance was a period that marked the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity, and was characterized by an effort to revive and surpass the ideas and achievements of classical antiquity.

Are we living in a second renaissance?

Or, if I may, a ren(AI)ssance?

With the advent of AI, it’s become easier and easier to bridge the gap between an idea and an execution. You don’t have to be an expert, like you had to in Da Vinci’s time, but you can produce more and more at the level of Da Vinci.

It was a time when art, science, music, and humanism was at its highest. Sounds familiar?

The depth and care that renaissance masters put into their work might be far from the rapid evolving, algorithm-driven outputs that AI enabled. However, I do believe that if Da Vinci had the tools we have today, he would take his science, and engineering to new heights.

Every time has its own genius. They’re often obsessed people. They care so much about something that they will do whatever it takes with however much time they have to push that forward.

Question is: who will be the ren(ai)ssant people of our time?

It could be you, if you’re bold enough.

Will you be a part of this ren(ai)ssance, or just a spectator?
